Who is a UK sponsor?

A sponsor can be an educational institute, employer, endorsing body (businesses) or a family member.

Educational institute

This is a UK regulated education that is approved by the Home Office. You will need to obtain a CAS from the educational institute to be able to study in the UK.

Employer

This is a UK employer that is approved by the Home Office. You will need to obtain a CoS from the employer to be able to work in the UK.

Endorsing body (businesses)

This is a UK endorsing body approved by the Home Office to assess an Innovator or Start-up businessperson wanting to run a business in the UK. You will need to obtain a letter from the endorsing body (Innovator or Start-Up) to be able to apply for your visa.

Family Members

This can be a partner or spouse who is settled in the UK sponsoring you as their fiancee, unmarried partner or spouse. This also can be your partner or spouse holding a British passport living abroad and they now they want to return to the UK with you. If your partner is applying or been approved under a sponsored, business, student or work visa and you are the partner or child, they will become your sponsor.

If a family member needs to apply to enter the UK,  they must complete this form themselves.
